Using Rally’s WAR database and OPS+ data from Baseball-Reference, I’ve constructed these sortable tables for the 2010 Hall of Fame candidates. In addition to the more traditional OPS+ and ERA+, I’ve added Wins Above Replacement (WAR). Not only that, but I’ve included most of the numbers that go into the calculation of WAR. Yesterday as I was either digesting turkey or taking a nap, the 2010 Hall of Fame ballot was announced. Shockingly, it took me 24 hours to realize this. I suppose that means it’s been a good break!

Now that Baseball Projection has released their Historical WAR stats, I feel like I need to play with it as much as I can. Since I’m pretty obsessed with all things Hall of Fame, I figured I’d take a look at the hitters on last year’s Hall of Fame ballot and compare their WAR (wins above replacement) to their voting percentage.
